Location: Labyrinth Zone Act 3
Description: This is a unique boss encounter where you chase Robotnik down a long, vertical underwater shaft. You cannot directly hit him.
Attack Pattern: Robotnik drops bombs that create explosions and activates crushing blocks to impede your descent. He also tries to outrun you.
Strategy:
- Prioritize Air: Your main goal is to survive the descent without drowning. Constantly look for and collect air bubbles.
- Avoid Bombs and Blocks: Dodge Robotnik's bombs and the crushing blocks he activates. Use small movements to navigate tight spaces.
- Maintain Pace: Keep up with Robotnik. If you fall too far behind, you might miss crucial air bubbles or get caught by hazards.
- Use Spin Dash (Carefully): The Spin Dash can help you gain speed, but use it sparingly and with caution, as overshooting can lead to missing air bubbles or hitting traps.
Key Tip: This boss is an endurance test. Don't try to attack Robotnik; focus entirely on survival, breath management, and navigation. The chase ends when you reach the bottom of the shaft. Collect as many rings as possible before entering this Act, as there are no rings during the chase.
