Location: Spring Yard Zone Act 3
Description: Robotnik's Egg Mobile drops a large, spiked ball onto the ground. The arena has several platforms that rise and fall.
Attack Pattern: Robotnik flies across the top, drops the spike ball, then retrieves it. He repeats this pattern, sometimes varying the drop location or speed.
Strategy:
- Platform Advantage: Use the rising platforms to gain height.
- Avoid Spike Ball: The spike ball is dangerous. Stay clear of its drop zone and its path as Robotnik retrieves it.
- Hit Vulnerable Spot: Jump and hit the Egg Mobile itself when Robotnik is low enough, usually after he has dropped the spike ball and is moving to retrieve it, or just as he's about to drop it.
- Repeat: He requires 8 hits. His movements and spike ball drops will become faster and more erratic after each hit.
Key Tip: The timing for hitting Robotnik can be tricky. Look for the moment he is stationary or moving slowly after dropping the ball. Don't try to hit him while the spike ball is actively swinging or being dropped directly on you. Use the platforms to get a clear shot.
