The Heads-Up Display (HUD) provides crucial information during gameplay. In the top-left corner, you'll see your Ring Count. Rings are your health; as long as you have at least one ring, you can survive a hit. If you get hit without rings, you lose a life. Collecting 100 rings grants you an extra life.
In the top-right, you'll find your Score, which increases by collecting rings, defeating enemies, and completing levels quickly. Below that is the Time elapsed in the current Act. Completing levels faster contributes to a higher score. Finally, your Lives Count is usually displayed at the bottom of the screen or during the score tally. Keep an eye on these indicators to manage your progress and performance effectively.
