- The Professor: An eccentric but brilliant scientist who often needs Spyro's help with his experiments or to retrieve lost items. He's responsible for creating the portal system.
- Moneybags: A greedy bear who charges Spyro for everything from opening new areas to teaching new abilities. Despite his avarice, paying him is essential for progression. You'll get your revenge on him later!
- Bentley the Yeti: A large, intelligent yeti who appears in Winter Tundra. He's a gentle giant who helps Spyro with certain challenges.
- Agent 9: A hyperactive monkey agent who is a master of firearms. He's playable in certain mini-games and offers unique challenges.
- Sheila the Kangaroo: A powerful kangaroo who is playable in certain mini-games, using her strong kicks to defeat enemies and break objects.
