Location: Ripto's Arena (Winter Tundra)
Ripto is the final boss and the main antagonist of the game. This battle is a multi-phase encounter that tests all of Spyro's learned abilities.

Phase 1: Riding Gulp
Ripto will start by riding Gulp. Gulp will stomp around the arena, and Ripto will shoot fireballs. Similar to the Gulp fight, Ripto will drop various projectiles:
- Green Bombs: Flame these to damage Gulp.
- Blue Orbs: Charge into these to send them back at Gulp.
- Superflame Power-up: Grab these for powerful attacks.
Phase 2: Riding Robo-Gulp
Ripto will then summon a robotic version of Gulp, which is more agile and has a laser attack. Ripto will continue to drop projectiles, but now there will also be:
- Red Bombs: Avoid these.
- Supercharge Power-up: Grab this and use it to charge into Robo-Gulp for massive damage.
Phase 3: Ripto on Foot
Ripto will now be on foot, flying around the arena on his scepter. He will shoot fireballs and occasionally summon small Rhynocs. The arena will have power-up gates for Superflame and Supercharge. You need to use these power-ups strategically:
- Superflame: Use this to hit Ripto when he's flying.
- Supercharge: Use this to hit Ripto when he lands or is close to the ground.
Ripto will also occasionally summon a large, invincible orb that chases Spyro. You need to lead this orb into a Supercharge gate to destroy it. Keep hitting Ripto with Superflame and Supercharge attacks until his health is depleted. This phase requires quick reflexes and good timing with the power-ups.
Tips: Always keep moving. Prioritize grabbing power-ups. Learn Ripto's attack patterns. The final phase is a test of endurance and strategic power-up usage. After defeating Ripto, you'll save Avalar and complete the main story!
