Level Progression/Order

Welcome, aspiring dragon! Navigating Avalar and defeating Ripto requires a strategic approach to level progression. While you have some freedom, following an optimal path ensures you gain necessary abilities and collect enough Talismans and Orbs to unlock new areas and ultimately confront Ripto. This section details the recommended order, highlighting key objectives and essential items.

Summer Forest Homeworld

Your adventure begins in the lush Summer Forest. This homeworld serves as your hub for the first set of levels.

  • Glimmer: This is your very first destination. Focus on collecting all the gems and the Talisman. There are also two Orbs to find here. Completing this level fully will introduce you to basic mechanics.
  • Idol Springs: After Glimmer, head to Idol Springs. Here, you'll encounter new enemy types and environmental puzzles. Secure the Talisman and both Orbs.
  • Colossus: Next up is Colossus. This level often introduces more complex platforming challenges. Gather the Talisman and the two Orbs.
  • Hurricos: Proceed to Hurricos. This level is known for its electrical themes and unique enemies. Collect the Talisman and both Orbs.
  • Sunny Beach: Your final stop in Summer Forest should be Sunny Beach. This level typically involves water segments and requires careful exploration. Obtain the Talisman and the two Orbs.
  • Summer Forest Speedway (Ocean Speedway): Once you've completed the main levels, tackle the Speedway. Completing the race and the time attack challenges here will grant you additional Orbs.

Important Note: Before you can progress to Autumn Plains, you'll need to defeat the boss of Summer Forest. Ensure you have collected enough Talismans (usually 6-8) to unlock the boss portal. Additionally, make sure you've visited Moneybags to purchase the Climb ability, which is crucial for accessing later areas.

Autumn Plains Homeworld

Upon defeating the Summer Forest boss, you'll gain access to Autumn Plains, a new and more challenging homeworld.

  • Skelos Badlands: Start your journey in Autumn Plains with Skelos Badlands. This level introduces fire-based enemies and environments. Collect the Talisman and the two Orbs.
  • Crystal Glacier: Next, head to Crystal Glacier. This icy level often features slippery surfaces and requires precise platforming. Secure the Talisman and both Orbs.
  • Breeze Harbor: Proceed to Breeze Harbor. This level is characterized by its industrial setting and often involves activating machinery. Gather the Talisman and the two Orbs.

Winter Tundra Homeworld

With the Autumn Plains boss defeated, you'll unlock Winter Tundra, the final and most challenging homeworld before facing Ripto.

  • Mystic Marsh: Begin your exploration of Winter Tundra in Mystic Marsh. This level often features magical elements and tricky platforming. Collect the Talisman and the two Orbs.
  • Cloud Temples: Next, head to Cloud Temples. This level is known for its high-altitude platforms and often requires careful gliding. Secure the Talisman and both Orbs.
  • Robotica Farms: Proceed to Robotica Farms. This level introduces robotic enemies and mechanical puzzles. Gather the Talisman and the two Orbs.
  • Metropolis: Your final main level before the ultimate confrontation is Metropolis. This futuristic level often has complex layouts and powerful enemies. Obtain the Talisman and the two Orbs.
  • Winter Tundra Speedway (Canyon Speedway): Complete the Speedway challenges here for the last set of Orbs before the final boss.

Final Confrontation
