Orbs are awarded for completing challenges within each level and are crucial for unlocking boss portals and progressing the main story. There are a total of 64 Orbs to collect in Spyro 2.
- Challenge Orbs: Most levels have two Orbs awarded for completing specific tasks, such as rescuing characters, defeating a certain number of enemies, or winning mini-games. These challenges are usually initiated by talking to an NPC in the level.
- Speedway Orbs: Each of the three speedway levels offers two Orbs: one for completing the main race and another for beating Hunter's challenge.
- Homeworld Orbs: Some Orbs are awarded for completing tasks within the homeworlds themselves, such as finding hidden areas or completing small challenges.
- Story Progression Orbs: An Orb is automatically awarded for completing each level and returning to the homeworld.
To achieve 100% completion, you must collect all 64 Orbs. If you're struggling with a particular challenge, don't hesitate to consult the main walkthrough section for specific strategies.
