- Health Recovery: Sparx regains health by eating butterflies. Butterflies are released when Spyro flames small animals like sheep, frogs, or rabbits.
- Gem Finder: After achieving 100% completion (collecting all 10,000 gems), Sparx gains the ability to point towards any remaining gems in a level, making it easier to find the last few stragglers.
