Throughout your adventure, Moneybags, the greedy bear, will constantly demand gems to open new paths and teach Spyro new abilities. While paying him is necessary for progression, you do get a chance for sweet revenge!
- The Setup: After you have defeated Ripto and completed the main story, return to each of the three homeworlds (Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra).
- The Confrontation: In each homeworld, you will find Moneybags. Approach him, and Spyro will confront him about all the gems he's taken.
- The Chase: Moneybags will attempt to flee. This initiates a short chase sequence where you must repeatedly charge into Moneybags. Each time you hit him, he will drop a portion of the gems he extorted from you.
- The Reward: Continue chasing and charging Moneybags until he has dropped all the gems he owes you for that particular homeworld. You'll get back every single gem you paid him throughout the game!
This is a satisfying secret for all players who felt the sting of Moneybags' exorbitant fees. It's also essential for achieving the true 100% completion, as those returned gems count towards your total.
