While SSX 3 features a roster of iconic characters, you can also create your own custom rider. This allows for a personalized experience and the ability to tailor your rider's appearance and initial stats. When you start a new game, you'll be prompted to choose a character or create one.
Creating a Custom Rider:
- Select 'Create New Rider': From the main menu or character selection screen.
- Choose Gender: Male or Female.
- Customize Appearance: Select from various head types, skin tones, hairstyles, and facial features.
- Outfit Selection: Browse through a wide array of tops, bottoms, outerwear, goggles, and accessories. Initially, your options will be limited, but more items unlock as you progress and earn money.
- Initial Stats: While you don't directly assign points, your chosen character's base stats will be influenced by their archetype (e.g., balanced, trick-focused, speed-focused). Don't worry too much about this early on, as you can upgrade stats later.
- Name Your Rider: Give your character a unique name.
Remember, customization isn't just cosmetic. Different outfits can sometimes offer slight stat bonuses, so keep an eye out for those as you unlock new gear. You can always revisit the 'My Rider' menu to change your appearance and equip new items.
