The Chimera is a terrifying, two-headed mutant known for its incredible speed, agility, and devastating pouncing attacks. It often hunts at night or in dense, overgrown areas, making it difficult to spot. Its primary attack is a powerful leap that can instantly down an unprepared stalker, followed by rapid claw attacks.

Phases & Attacks:
- Phase 1 (Stealth Hunt): The Chimera will stalk the player, using cover and its speed to ambush. It performs quick, devastating pounces.
- Phase 2 (Direct Assault): Once engaged, it will continuously charge and pounce, often circling You to find an opening.
Weaknesses:
- Head: Both heads are critical weak points. A well-placed shot can stagger or even instantly kill it.
- Fire: Fire-based anomalies or incendiary grenades can cause it to panic and take continuous damage.
Strategy:
- Situational Awareness: Listen for its distinctive growls and movement sounds. Use your flashlight to scan surroundings, especially at night.
- High Ground/Cover: Try to find elevated positions or areas with tight corridors where it cannot easily pounce.
- Burst Damage: When it pounces and lands, it will be briefly vulnerable. Unleash a burst of high-damage fire (shotgun to the head, or a full auto spray).
- Incendiary Grenades: Throw incendiary grenades to force it out of cover or to deal damage over time.
- Dodge and Weave: Its pounce is telegraphed by a brief crouch. Dodge sideways to avoid the initial impact.
Recommended gear includes a powerful shotgun or a high-rate-of-fire assault rifle, incendiary grenades, and armor with good bleeding resistance. Stamina and movement speed artifacts are also beneficial for evasion.
