The First Step: "Echoes of the Past"

This introductory mission will guide you through the basics of survival and introduce you to the Cordon. Pay close attention to the tutorial prompts.

Objective 1: Reach the Old Watchtower

Starting Point: Your initial spawn location near the Skadovsk.
Path: Follow the main dirt path heading north. You'll encounter your first few low-level mutants, such as Snorks. Use your Makarov pistol and aim for headshots.
Item: Keep an eye out for discarded Bandages and First Aid Kits along the path.
Strategy: Move cautiously, using cover from destroyed vehicles and debris. Listen for mutant growls to anticipate ambushes.

Objective 2: Investigate the Watchtower

Location: The tall, dilapidated concrete structure to the northeast of your starting area.
Enemies: Expect a few stray Bandits guarding the area. They are armed with basic firearms like AKS-74s.
Item: Inside the watchtower, on the ground floor, you'll find a locked chest. The key is usually on the corpse of a Bandit nearby. Inside the chest, you can find valuable early-game loot like 5.45x39mm ammunition and a Repair Kit.
Strategy: Engage the Bandits from a distance if possible. Utilize the watchtower's structure for cover. If you have a basic scope, it will be invaluable here.

Objective 3: Report back to Skadovsk

Return Path: Retrace your steps back towards the Skadovsk.
New Encounters: You may encounter more Snorks or even a lone Pseudodog on your return. Be prepared.
Reward: Upon completion, you'll receive your first significant monetary reward and unlock further main story quests.

Key Items and Strategies for Early Game

Ammunition: Always prioritize scavenging for ammunition. The Zone is unforgiving if you run dry.
