Starting Classes
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic presents players with three distinct starting classes, each offering a unique foundation for their journey. These classes not only influence your initial stats and available abilities but also shape the narrative and your interactions within the game world. Choosing the right starting class is the first crucial step in defining your character's identity and playstyle, setting the stage for the specialized builds you can develop later in the game.
The three starting classes are the Jedi Guardian, the Jedi Sentinel, and the Jedi Consular. The Jedi Guardian is a master of lightsaber combat, excelling in direct confrontation and physical prowess. They are the frontline warriors, capable of withstanding significant damage while dishing out powerful melee attacks. The Jedi Sentinel embodies a balance between combat and Force abilities, making them versatile and adaptable. They are skilled in both lightsaber duels and the application of various Force powers, making them effective in a wide range of situations. Finally, the Jedi Consular is a dedicated Force-user, prioritizing the mastery of Force powers over direct combat. They excel in manipulating the battlefield with potent offensive and defensive Force abilities, often supporting their allies or debilitating their enemies from afar.
