The core of Fallen Order's gameplay loop revolves around exploring interconnected environments. Each planet is a sprawling map filled with hidden paths, optional challenges, and crucial story objectives. master Cal's movement abilities, including wall-running, climbing, and Force-assisted jumps, to access new areas. As you acquire new Force powers and Jedi skills throughout your journey, previously inaccessible locations will open up, allowing for backtracking and the discovery of even more secrets.
BD-1, your trusty droid companion, plays a vital role in exploration. He can scan the environment, revealing hidden pathways, collectibles, and lore entries. BD-1 can also interact with certain terminals and mechanisms, often requiring Cal to protect him during these sequences. The Stinger Mantis serves as your mobile base, allowing you to travel between planets. Upgrades to the Mantis, such as new paint schemes, can be found as collectibles.
