While Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order does not feature traditional character creation, this guide details the customization options available for Cal Kestis and his gear. Personalize Cal's appearance, his lightsaber, and his ship to reflect your style as you journey through the galaxy.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order focuses on the narrative of Cal Kestis, a specific character with a pre-defined appearance. Therefore, there is no character creation in the traditional sense, where players des their protagonist from scratch. However, the game offers a robust system for customizing Cal's appearance, his lightsaber, and his ship, the Stinger Mantis, allowing for a degree of personalization throughout the adventure.
Cal Kestis's Outfits
Cal's primary customization options come in the form of different outfits. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay. They are unlocked through various means:
- Story Progression: Certain outfits may become available as Cal progresses through the main story.
- Exploration: Many outfits are hidden throughout the planets in chests. Thorough exploration is key to finding them.
- New Game+: Additional outfits are unlocked specifically for New Game+ playthroughs, offering new looks for returning players.
Once unlocked, Cal can change his outfit at any Meditation Circle.
Lightsaber Customization

- Dual-Wielding and Double-Bladed Options: As Cal progresses, he unlocks the ability to use a double-bladed lightsaber or dual-wield two single-bladed lightsabers, offering different combat styles and visual appearances.
Lightsaber customization is done at any Meditation Circle.
BD-1 Skins
Cal's loyal droid companion, BD-1, also has cosmetic skins that can be unlocked. These are typically found in chests during exploration and offer different color schemes and dess for the droid.
Stinger Mantis Paint Jobs
The Stinger Mantis, the crew's starship, can also be customized with various paint jobs. These are found as collectibles scattered across the planets and allow players to personalize their ship's exterior.
