Meditation Training & Custom Encounters

Meditation Points are Cal Kestis's sanctuary in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, serving as save points, healing stations, and hubs for skill development. Beyond these core functions, Meditation Points also unlock access to the Meditation Training feature, allowing players to engage in custom combat encounters. This feature provides a valuable tool for honing combat skills, experimenting with different Force powers and lightsaber techniques, and earning rewards without the pressure of story progression.

To access Meditation Training, players must first find and interact with a Meditation Point. Once activated, a menu will appear, offering options such as Rest (to replenish health and Force energy, but respawn enemies), Skill Tree (to spend earned Skill Points), and Meditation Training. Selecting Meditation Training allows you to choose from several combat challenges. These challenges are often themed around specific locations or enemy types encountered throughout the game. You can select the difficulty and the types of enemies you wish to face, creating a personalized training regimen.

The Meditation Training mode is divided into several categories, including Time Challenges, Combat Tests, and Survival Challenges. Time Challenges require you to defeat a set number of enemies within a strict time limit. Combat Tests focus on mastering specific combat mechanics or defeating particular enemy combinations. Survival Challenges pit you against waves of increasingly difficult enemies, testing your endurance and resource management. Successfully completing these challenges earns you stars based on your performance, which can then be used to unlock cosmetic rewards, primarily for BD-1, and sometimes for Cal's outfits.

Challenge Type Objective Reward Focus
Time Challenges Defeat enemies within a time limit Stars, BD-1 Skins
Combat Tests Master specific combat mechanics/enemies Stars, BD-1 Skins
Survival Challenges Survive waves of enemies Stars, BD-1 Skins

This feature is particularly useful for players looking to practice difficult combat sequences, such as boss fights or challenging enemy groups. It allows for risk-free experimentation with different skill point allocations and combat strategies. Furthermore, the Meditation Training mode can be a great way to grind for XP if you're looking to unlock specific skills before a tough story encounter. The ability to customize your encounters ensures that you can always find a challenge that suits your current needs and skill level.
