Enemy Databank Entries
Throughout your journey in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis's droid companion, BD-1, will scan various enemies, unlocking Databank entries. These entries provide valuable insights into the lore, behavior, and weaknesses of the creatures and soldiers you encounter, aiding both in combat and in understanding the game's universe.
Scanning enemies is often done automatically when you encounter a new type for the first time, or it can be manually triggered by using BD-1's scanner during combat. Successfully scanning an enemy will add an entry to your Databank, accessible from the main menu. These entries often include:
- Species/Faction Information: Details about the enemy's origin, their role in the galaxy, and their allegiance.
- Combat Behavior: Insights into their attack patterns, strengths, and weaknesses, which can be crucial for developing effective combat strategies.
- Lore and Background: Information that enriches the Star Wars universe, explaining their place within the Empire's forces or the natural ecosystems of the planets.
Collecting all Databank entries is a requirement for achieving 100% completion on each planet and for unlocking certain achievements or trophies.
Tips for completing your Databank:
- Scan Everything: Make it a habit to scan every new enemy you encounter, whether it's a common Stormtrooper or a unique creature.
- Utilize BD-1's Scanner: During combat, if BD-1 hasn't scanned an enemy, use the dedicated scanner button to get a quick scan. This is especially useful for tougher enemies or bosses.
- Revisit Areas: If you missed scanning a particular enemy type, revisit areas where they are known to spawn.
- Boss Entries: Bosses often have multiple Databank entries, sometimes unlocked by scanning them at different stages of the fight or after defeating them.
The information contained within the Databank entries can be surprisingly useful. For example, understanding that a certain creature is vulnerable to fire or that an Imperial unit has a specific melee attack pattern can directly influence how you approach combat encounters.
