Meditation Training & Combat Challenges
Meditation points are sanctuaries in Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, serving as your primary hubs for rest, skill development, and challenging your combat prowess. These sacred locations are where Cal Kestis can reconnect with the Force, replenish his strength, and prepare for the trials ahead.
Upon discovering a Meditation Point, you'll have several crucial options:
- Meditate: This action replenishes Cal's health and Force meter, and crucially, respawns all defeated enemies in the area. This is essential for farming XP and collectibles.
- Spend Skill Points: This is where you'll invest the skill points you've earned into Cal's extensive skill tree. The tree is divided into three branches: Survival (enhancing health and healing), Force (improving Force powers), and Lightsaber (bolstering melee combat).
- Combat Challenges: As you progress through the story and unlock new abilities, new combat challenges will become available at Meditation Points. These are desed to test your mastery of Cal's skills in various scenarios.
Understanding the Skill Tree:
Each branch offers unique and powerful upgrades:
- Survival: Focuses on increasing Cal's maximum health, improving the effectiveness of Stim Canisters, and unlocking abilities like the 'Second Wind' which allows for a quick health regeneration.
- Force: Enhances your Force Push, Pull, Slow, and other Force powers, making them more potent and versatile in combat and puzzle-solving.
- Lightsaber: Improves your lightsaber attacks, unlocking new combos, increasing damage, and granting abilities like the 'Overhead Slash' and 'Flurry Strike'.
Combat Challenges:
These challenges are often unlocked after specific story beats or when you acquire certain Force powers. They present unique combat scenarios, such as fighting waves of specific enemies, surviving for a set duration, or achieving certain combat feats. Successfully completing these challenges rewards you with sificant XP and sometimes unique cosmetic items or achievements.
Tips for Meditation Training:
- Strategize Your Skill Points: Consider your playstyle. If you prefer aggressive melee combat, focus on the Lightsaber tree. If you rely heavily on Force powers, invest in the Force branch. Survival skills are always beneficial for increased survivability.
- Tackle Challenges When Ready: Don't attempt combat challenges until you feel confident in your abilities. Some challenges require specific Force powers or combat techniques.
- Use Meditation for XP Farming: If you need to level up, repeatedly meditate at a point with many nearby enemies, defeat them, and then meditate again.
Meditation points are your lifeline and your training ground. Utilize them wisely to ensure Cal Kestis is always prepared for the dangers that lurk in the galaxy.
