Customizing Cal: Lightsaber, Blaster, BD-1, and Cal's Appearance
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor offers extensive customization options, allowing players to personalize Cal Kestis, his trusty droid BD-1, and their iconic weapons. These cosmetic items are found throughout the galaxy, hidden in chests, awarded for completing challenges, or purchased from vendors. Collecting them allows you to tailor Cal's look to your preferred style, from his hairstyle and beard to the color and des of his lightsaber and blaster.
The customization options are divided into several categories, ensuring a wide array of choices:
- Cal's Appearance: This includes various hairstyles, beard styles, and outfits. You can find new clothing pieces like ponchos, jackets, and pants in chests scattered across planets. Some outfits are themed, reflecting the environments Cal visits.
- Lightsaber Customization: Cal's lightsaber can be modified with different emitters, pommels, switches, and grips. Each component not only changes the visual appearance but can also slightly alter the lightsaber's weight or feel in combat animations. Color crystals also allow you to change the blade's hue.
- Blaster Customization: If you opt for the Blaster stance, Cal's blaster can also be customized with different barrels, grips, and scopes, affecting its visual des.
- BD-1 Customization: Your loyal droid companion isn't left out. BD-1 can be outfitted with new paint jobs and cosmetic attachments, giving him a unique look.
Many of these customization items are found in chests marked on your in-game map. However, some rarer items might be rewards for defeating specific enemies, completing Force Tears, or finding hidden collectibles like Priorite Shards, which can be traded for unique gear at certain shops.
Where to Find Customization Items:
- Chests: The most common source. Explore thoroughly, especially in side areas and behind breakable walls.
- Vendors: Certain shops, like those run by Doma on Koboh, offer cosmetic items for sale, often requiring currency like Priorite Shards.
- Challenges: Completing Force Tears and other combat or traversal challenges can unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards.
- Story Progression: Some items are naturally acquired as part of the main story.
Don't overlook the customization stations found at Meditation Points and in your base on Koboh. These are where you'll access and equip all the cosmetic items you've collected. Experimenting with different combinations can sificantly enhance your immersion and personal connection to Cal's journey.
