Navigating the diverse planets of Knights of the Old Republic requires knowledge of where to find key Non-Player Characters (NPCs) and vendors. This section provides a general overview of where to locate important individuals and merchants across various game locations.
Each planet and major hub in KOTOR is populated with several NPCs, ranging from quest givers and companions to merchants selling vital supplies. Knowing their general locations can save you time and ensure you don't miss crucial interactions or opportunities to acquire necessary items.
General NPC and Vendor Distribution:
- Taris (Upper/Lower/Undercity): You'll find merchants in the Upper City cantinas and marketplaces. The Undercity and Lower City host various faction members, bounty hunters, and potential quest givers, often in less reputable establishments.
- Dantooine (Enclave/Jedi Enclave): The Jedi Enclave is home to Masters and Padawans. The Courtyard and surrounding areas have merchants selling Jedi-related supplies and general goods.
- Tatooine (Anchorhead/Mos Espa): Anchorhead features a few vendors, including a droid shop. The main settlement areas will have various inhabitants offering quests and information.
- Manaan (Republic/Sith Embassies, Docking Bay): The Docking Bay is your entry point with some basic vendors. The Republic and Sith Embassies house their respective personnel, and the Selkath city has its own unique inhabitants and merchants.
- Kashyyyk (Wookiee Village/Czerka Corp): The Wookiee Village has its own community members and elders. Czerka Corp facilities will have their employees and potentially a vendor.
- Korriban (Sith Academy/Valley of the Dark Lords): The Sith Academy is populated by Sith students and Masters. The Valley of the Dark Lords contains tombs and potentially hermits or guardians.
- Ebon Hawk: Your companions are always aboard the Ebon Hawk, and T3-M4 often acts as a mobile vendor for certain items.
