Character Creation & Attributes

Character creation in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic allows you to customize your protagonist, Revan, who is the main character of the game. You will select a portrait, character class, and distribute attribute points, which significantly impact your gameplay style.

After choosing your character's appearance, you proceed to the attributes screen. There are six core attributes, and it is recommended that all attributes be at least 12. Your choices during character creation, particularly regarding attributes, will influence whether you lean towards the light side or the dark side of the Force. Your character's name, health, defense, experience points, and alignment are displayed on this screen. The game assumes a canonical male light side version of Revan, who is the main protagonist. Revan, formerly the Dark Lord of the Sith and Master of Darth Malak, was captured by a Jedi strike team led by Bastila Shan and had his memory erased. He is later welcomed back into the Jedi Order as the "Prodigal Knight."
