The Combat System
Combat occurs in real-time, but you can pause the action at any moment to issue commands to your character and companions. Actions resolve in a turn-based fashion once commands are issued and the game is unpaused.
Key Combat Mechanics
- Attack and Defense: Your character's attack bonus, determined by attributes like Strength or Dexterity and weapon proficiency, is compared against an enemy's Defense score (their chance to be hit). Similarly, your Defense score determines your chance to dodge incoming attacks.
