Your interactions with companions go beyond simple dialogue. Every choice you make, every quest you undertake, and every conversation you have can impact how they perceive you. Positive actions, such as agreeing with their viewpoints, supporting their personal quests, or demonstrating empathy, will increase their affection and influence.
Conversely, actions that contradict their beliefs or disregard their concerns can lead to a decrease in affection and influence, potentially making them less effective in combat or even causing them to leave your party. How to Increase Influence & Affection:
