Shops are scattered across the various planets you visit, each with its own set of vendors and inventory. The types of goods available often reflect the planet's culture and economy. For instance, on a technologically advanced world like Taris, you'll find a wider array of high-tech weaponry and armor, while on a more primitive world, you might find more basic gear and survival equipment.
Taris, being a major urban center, boasts numerous shops across its different districts. In the Upper City, you'll find vendors catering to the affluent, offering some of the best equipment. The Lower City has more common merchants, selling a broader range of goods at more accessible prices. The Undercity, however, is a more dangerous area, and while some vendors might operate there, their wares might be less reputable or more specialized.
On Dantooine, the Jedi Enclave and its surrounding Courtyard host merchants who primarily deal with Jedi-related supplies, such as robes, training equipment, and components for lightsabers. Tatooine features shops in its Docking Bay, Hunting Lodge, and Czerka Office, offering a mix of survival gear, weaponry, and items relevant to the planet's harsh environment.

Weapons and armor upgrades can sificantly boost your combat effectiveness. sell off any items you no longer need to free up inventory space and earn credits. Some merchants might offer better prices or have unique items if you have a high Persuade skill or have completed specific quests for them.
