While there isn't a traditional crafting system, KOTOR allows extensive upgrading of weapons and armor. Use workbenches to install upgrades like scopes, cells, and emitters into blasters and lightsabers. Armor can be fitted with various plating and mesh upgrades. Always check vendors for new upgrade components. Investing in the Repair skill can allow you to fix damaged droids and gain experience, or even repair certain quest items.
