Prologue: Endar Spire
The Endar Spire serves as the tutorial section of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, introducing core gameplay mechanics and the initial narrative. You begin amidst an attack on the Republic's Hammerhead-class capital ship, the Endar Spire. This section is designed to familiarize you with movement, combat, and the journal system before you proceed to more complex areas.
The Endar Spire is likely the shortest area in the game. Your journal has a map feature that automatically tracks where you have been. It is important to explore the entire map of every area to ensure you acquire all necessary items and quests. Some areas, like the Endar Spire, have a full map already. There will be a few instances where exploring every corner may not be worth the effort.
After opening a door, you will encounter and defeat two weak soldiers. Trask will then inform you that Bastila has already escaped in the escape pods, and without her, the Sith can destroy the ship at any moment. You can loot dead soldiers on the bridge and find a blaster pistol in a backpack near the door.
