Once all six Ancient Artifacts are collected, you can activate the Ancient Gate on the Outpost. This will lead you to the final confrontation with The Ruin, the ultimate antagonist of Starbound. This mission is a gauntlet of challenges, culminating in a multi-stage boss fight. Ensure you have the best possible gear, plenty of healing items, and several weapons to deal with different threats. This is the true test of your journey.
