Prioritize Energy Management

Your energy bar is your most valuable resource early on. Don't overexert yourself! Clear only what's necessary to plant your first crops. Eating foraged items like Spring Onions or Salmonberries can restore small amounts of energy.

Plant Parsnips Immediately

The 15 Parsnip Seeds given to you are your first source of income. Clear a 5x3 plot, till the soil with your Hoe, plant the seeds, and water them daily with your Watering Can. They grow quickly and provide a good return.

Explore & Forage

Spend your remaining energy exploring Pelican Town and the surrounding areas. Forage for items like Spring Onions, Daffodils, Dandelions, and Leeks. These can be sold for a small profit or eaten to restore energy. Meeting villagers is also important for building relationships.

Repair the Bridge to the Beach

Once you have 300 wood, repair the bridge on the east side of town. This unlocks the Beach, where you can forage for more items and meet Willy, the fisherman.

Watch TV Daily

The TV provides valuable information: the 'Weather Report' for the next day, 'The Queen of Sauce' for cooking recipes, and 'Livin' Off The Land' for tips and tricks. Make it a morning ritual.
