The user interface in Stardew Valley provides several helpful features for tracking your progress and managing items. The collections tab acts as a record of which items have been discovered or shipped, and in what quantities.

Items Shipped

This tab specifically keeps track of the type and amount of items shipped via the Shipping Box on The Farm.

Key Controls and Tips:
  • Shift-click: Purchase 5 items at a time.
  • Hold tool button: After upgrading your hoe or watering can, hold this button to increase the area of effect.
  • Right-click: Use a weapon's special move.
  • Plug in an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller: Activates game pad mode.

The game also features various secrets and Easter eggs related to UI elements and controls:

  • Lucky Purple Shorts: Can be placed in the tackle slot of a fishing rod to change the bobber style to a unique Lucky Purple Shorts bobber. If placed in the first slot of an Advanced Iridium Rod, they prevent tackle in the second slot from losing durability. They can also be placed into Fish Tanks as a decoration item.
