How to Upgrade:

Gather Ore: Mine Copper Ore in the early levels of the Mines and Iron Ore in the deeper levels. Smelt these ores into bars using a Furnace with Coal.
Visit Clint: Take your required ore and gold to Clint at the Blacksmith.
Leave the Tool: Clint will keep your pickaxe for two in-game days to upgrade it. You cannot use your pickaxe during this time. Plan your mining trips accordingly.
Collect Your Upgrade: Return to Clint after two days to pick up your upgraded tool.
