Hidden Areas & Easter Eggs
Stardew Valley is rich with hidden details and secrets, from subtle title screen interactions to collectible artifacts found across the map. Discovering these elements adds depth to the game and can sometimes lead to valuable rewards or unique experiences. Pay close attention to environmental cues and interact with objects in unexpected ways.
The game's title screen itself holds several interactive easter eggs:
- Clicking the letter "E" in the game name ten times reveals an alien.
- Clicking the leaves ten times causes three Junimos to appear and wave.
- Clicking the lower right screw on the letter "W" ten times spawns several butterflies.
- Clicking the bottom-left corner of the title box a few times picks up a happy face. Placing it in the hole of the "R" causes foliage to appear and parrots to fly out.
- Using a controller, pressing B (Xbox) or O (PS4) where the two birds are flying makes clouds move rapidly.
Artifacts are another form of hidden content, found primarily by digging up Artifact Spots, which are more common in winter. There are 42 artifacts in total, and donating them to the Museum yields rewards. Specific artifacts can be found in different areas:
- Chipped Amphora: Found in Town (3%) or Artifact Trove (3.6%).
- Arrowhead: Found in Mountain (1.6%), Forest (1.6%), Bus Stop (1.6%), or Artifact Trove (3.6%).
