Maverick is a skilled and heavily armed human opponent you'll face during the Freestar Collective Ranger questline. He's a formidable gunfighter.
Location:
During the 'First to Fight, First to Die' quest.
Abilities & Attacks:
- High Damage Ballistics: Wields powerful ballistic weapons, often a rifle and a pistol.
- Grenades: Uses fragmentation grenades to flush you out of cover.
- Boost Pack: Utilizes a boost pack for quick movement and repositioning.
- Cover Usage: Expertly uses the environment for cover, making him hard to hit.
Strategy:
- Utilize Cover: This is a gunfight. Use cover constantly to avoid his sustained fire.
- Flanking Maneuvers: Use your boost pack to flank him while he's reloading or focused on your companion.
- Grenades: Throw grenades to force him out of cover or deal splash damage.
- Targeting: Use 'Targeting Control Systems' skill (if you have it) to target his weapon or boost pack.
- Healing: Keep your health up, as his ballistic damage can be very high.
Weaknesses:
Susceptible to sustained ballistic or energy fire when exposed. Can be staggered by heavy weapon hits.
