Starfield is filled with secrets and nods to pop culture and Bethesda's past games. Keep an eye out for these hidden gems.
The Secret Outpost (Mantis Quest):
Early in the game, you might find a slate called 'Secret Outpost!' on a defeated Spacer. This initiates a quest leading to a hidden bunker where you can acquire the legendary 'Mantis' spacesuit and ship. This is an excellent early-game power boost.
Earth's Landmarks:
On Earth, you can find remnants of famous landmarks like the Pyramids of Giza, the London Eye, and the Empire State Building. You'll need to find specific books or slates to unlock their locations on your map.
Adoring Fan:
If you choose the 'Hero Worshipped' trait, the Adoring Fan will appear. He's a recurring character from Oblivion and provides unique (and often annoying) dialogue and gifts.
Skyrim & Fallout References:
Keep an ear out for subtle dialogue references to 'arrows to the knee' or 'war never changes.' You might also find familiar items or environmental storytelling that hints at Bethesda's other universes.
The Mysterious Captain:
Occasionally, you might encounter a mysterious ship in space whose captain offers cryptic advice or unique items. These encounters are rare and often lead to interesting lore snippets.
