Your journey begins on Vectera, a mining planet, where you're just another miner. This quest serves as a tutorial, introducing you to basic movement, interaction, and combat mechanics.
Objectives:
- Report to Supervisor Lin: Follow the quest marker to Lin's office.
- Mine the Anomaly: Use your Cutter to mine the glowing rock. This is where you'll encounter the first Artifact.
- Experience the Vision: Touch the Artifact and witness a strange vision.
- Meet Barrett: He'll arrive with Vasco, your first companion, to investigate the anomaly.
- Defend the Mining Outpost: Engage in your first combat sequence against Crimson Fleet pirates. Use cover and aim for headshots.
- Retrieve the Artifact: After the fight, collect the Artifact.
- Travel to Kreet: Board Barrett's ship, the Frontier, and learn basic ship controls.
Strategy:
During the combat section, don't rush. Use the environment for cover. Vasco is a capable companion and will draw some fire. Loot fallen enemies for credits, ammo, and basic gear. When flying the Frontier, practice boosting and turning. The game will guide you through the initial flight sequence.
