Key Elements of Neutral
- Spacing: This is paramount. Understand your character's optimal range for attacks (pokes) and your opponent's effective range. The goal is to stay just outside their reach while keeping them within yours.
- Movement: Effective use of walking, dashing, and backdashing is essential. Walking forward can apply pressure, while walking back can create space or bait an opponent's approach. Backdashing can evade attacks or create distance.
- Poking: These are quick, often low-commitment attacks desed to interrupt the opponent's approach, check their movement, or chip away at their health. Learn your character's best pokes (e.g., crouching light kick, standing medium punch).
