Overview:
Blanka is an unpredictable and aggressive character with erratic movement and electric attacks. He can be difficult to pin down and punish due to his rolling attacks.
Strategy:
- Block Rolls: Blanka's 'Rolling Attack' and 'Vertical Rolling Attack' are his primary movement and offensive tools. Block them and punish their recovery.
- Anti-Air His Vertical Rolls: His Vertical Rolling Attack is a common anti-air. Be ready with your own anti-air to knock him down.
- Watch for Electric Attacks: His 'Electric Thunder' can stun you. Avoid standing too close when he charges it.
- Drive Impact His Armor: Some of his rolling attacks have armor. Use Drive Impact to break through and get a free hit.
- Stay Grounded: Similar to Chun-Li, focus on a strong ground game. His erratic jumps can be punished.
Weaknesses:
Predictable rolling patterns can be blocked and punished, electric attacks have a wind-up, vulnerable to anti-airs.
