Location: Shadaloo Base (Chapter 6)
Overview:
In his empowered second phase, JP becomes significantly more aggressive, faster, and gains enhanced versions of his psycho power attacks. He will use his Super Arts more frequently and deal increased damage.
Strategy:
- Increased Aggression: JP will be much more relentless. Focus on solid defense and perfect parries to weather his storm.
- Super Art Awareness: He will use his Super Arts more often. Learn their tells and be prepared to block or evade. His Level 3 Super Art is particularly devastating.
- Punish Openings Ruthlessly: When you find an opening, make it count. Use your most damaging combos and Super Arts. Don't drop your combos.
- Resource Management: Carefully manage your Drive Gauge and Super Art Gauge. Use Drive Impact to break his armor or pressure, and save your Super Arts for critical moments or to close out rounds.
- Patience and Adaptation: This is the final boss. It will be tough. Be patient, learn his new patterns, and adapt your strategy. Don't get frustrated by losses; learn from them.
Weaknesses:
Still vulnerable to well-timed Drive Impacts, some enhanced moves have slightly longer recovery, can be baited into whiffing Super Arts.
