Drive Impact:

  • Armor Break: Drive Impact has 2 hits of armor. Use it to absorb an opponent's attack and punish them, especially against slow, heavy attacks or projectiles.
  • Wall Splat Combos: A successful Drive Impact near the corner leads to a wall splat, allowing for extended, high-damage combos. Practice these in Training Mode.
  • Countering Drive Impact: If your opponent uses Drive Impact, you can counter with your own Drive Impact (if timed correctly), throw them, or use an invincible special move.

Drive Parry:

  • Perfect Parry: A perfectly timed parry (just before the hit) recovers more Drive Gauge and leaves the opponent in a longer stun, allowing for a full punish. This is a high-risk, high-reward technique.
  • Drive Rush Cancel: After a successful Drive Parry, you can immediately cancel into a Drive Rush for a quick, armored approach or to extend pressure.
  • Chip Damage Negation: Drive Parry negates chip damage from special moves, making it crucial for defensive play.

Drive Rush:

  • Combo Extension: Canceling a cancellable normal into Drive Rush allows for combo extensions that wouldn't normally be possible. This is a cornerstone of high-damage combos.
  • Pressure Tool: Use Drive Rush to quickly close gaps and apply pressure after a knockdown or a blocked attack. It's armored on startup, making it hard to interrupt.

Drive Reversal:

  • Get-Off-Me Tool: Drive Reversal is an invincible counter-attack performed while blocking. Use it to escape relentless pressure or to punish an opponent who is over-committing.
  • Resource Management: It costs 2 Drive stocks, so use it wisely. Don't waste it if you can simply block and wait for an opening.
