Master Relationships and Progression

In Street Fighter 6's World Tour mode, your relationship with the various Masters you encounter plays a pivotal role in your avatar's progression and combat capabilities. Building these relationships unlocks new moves, enhances existing ones, and provides valuable insights into the characters' fighting styles.

As you progress through World Tour, you'll meet numerous iconic Street Fighter characters who act as Masters. These Masters will teach your avatar new special moves and unique techniques. The primary way to build a relationship with a Master is by training with them. This often involves completing specific training missions or engaging in sparring matches. Each training session or sparring match contributes to your relationship level with that Master. As your relationship grows, you'll unlock new tiers of moves and abilities associated with that Master. For example, Ryu might teach you his sature Hadoken and Shoryuken, while Chun-Li could impart her Spinning Bird Kick and Lightning Legs. The higher your bond, the more powerful and versatile the moves you can learn.

Beyond learning new moves, strengthening your relationship with a Master can also unlock passive bonuses or enhance the effectiveness of their taught moves. Some Masters might offer stat boosts or special perks when your bond reaches certain thresholds. Furthermore, certain story missions or side quests might be tied to specific Masters, requiring you to utilize their learned techniques to overcome challenges. For instance, a mission might require you to use a specific projectile to break obstacles, or a command grab to bypass an enemy's guard. The game encourages you to experiment with different Masters and their move sets, allowing you to create a unique fighting style for your avatar by combining techniques from various sources. Prioritizing which Masters to train with based on your desired playstyle is a key strategic element of progression in World Tour.
