Arcade Mode in Street Fighter IV consists of a series of 8-10 matches against CPU opponents, culminating in a final boss encounter. The difficulty scales as you progress, with later opponents exhibiting more aggressive AI and better defensive capabilities. Your goal is to defeat all opponents and witness your chosen character's unique ending sequence. Along the way, you'll encounter rival battles and bonus stages.

General Arcade Mode Flow:

  1. Initial Matches (Rounds 1-4): These early matches are generally easier, allowing you to get comfortable with your character. Focus on landing basic combos and special moves.
  2. Rival Battle: Around the mid-point, you'll face a specific rival character tied to your chosen fighter's storyline. These fights often have unique pre-fight dialogue.
  3. Mid-Game Matches (Rounds 5-7): Opponents become more challenging, often blocking more and punishing mistakes. Start incorporating Focus Attacks and EX moves.
  4. Bonus Stage (Car or Barrels): After a certain number of matches, you'll get a bonus stage to destroy a car or barrels for extra points.
  5. Final Boss: The ultimate challenge of Arcade Mode, typically Seth. This fight requires careful strategy and execution.

Remember that you have a limited number of continues. If you lose all your rounds and continues, you'll have to start Arcade Mode from the beginning.
