Stage 6: Pink Stone
Welcome to the Pink Stone, a vibrant yet dangerous art gallery. This stage introduces new enemy types and environmental hazards, so stay sharp!
Area 1: Gallery Entrance
- Initial Encounter: You'll immediately face a group of Galsias and a Donnie. Prioritize taking out the Galsias quickly to avoid being swarmed. The Donnie can be a bit tougher; use throws or combo extenders to keep him off balance.
- Hidden Item: After clearing the first wave, smash the vending machine on the left side of the screen to reveal an Apple for health.
- Second Wave: A mix of Galsias and Signals will appear. Be wary of the Signals' electric attacks; try to approach them from above or below to avoid their shockwaves.
- Environmental Hazard: Notice the art pedestals scattered around. While they can be used as throwable objects, be careful not to accidentally hit yourself or your allies.
Area 2: Main Exhibition Hall
This area is characterized by its wide-open space and numerous art installations. Use the environment to your advantage.
- First Encounter: You'll be greeted by a pair of Gems and a few Galsias. The Gems are agile and can be annoying; focus on isolating and comboing them.
- Weapon Opportunity: Look for a pipe leaning against one of the pillars in the center of the hall. This is an excellent weapon for crowd control and dealing significant damage.
- Mid-Area Challenge: More Galsias, Donnies, and a new enemy, the Rider, will appear. The Riders are fast and can hit hard with their bikes. The best strategy is to knock them off their bikes as quickly as possible. A well-timed jump attack or special can dismount them, turning their bike into a throwable weapon.
- Health Boost: After defeating the Riders, check behind the large sculpture on the right side of the hall for a hidden Chicken to replenish your health.
Area 3: Rooftop Terrace
The final stretch of the stage takes you to a precarious rooftop, offering a stunning view but also new dangers.
- Initial Encounter: A group of Galsias and a couple of Signals will try to push you off the edge. Be extremely careful near the ledges, as falling off results in instant death.
- Bonus Stage Opportunity: This stage features a hidden bonus stage! After defeating the first wave of enemies, look for a breakable wall on the far right of the terrace, near the railing. Hit it a few times to reveal an opening. Entering this will take you to a quick bonus round where you can earn extra points and a Star.
- Final Gauntlet: Expect a challenging mix of all the enemies encountered so far: Galsias, Donnies, Signals, and Riders. The tight space on the rooftop makes dodging difficult, so focus on efficient combos and using your special attacks when surrounded.
- Weapon Cache: Before the boss fight, you'll find a Katana near the exit to the next area. This powerful weapon can make the upcoming battle much easier.
Boss Battle: Estel Aguirre
Estel is a formidable opponent with a varied moveset. She's fast, has a strong grapple, and can call for backup.
- Phase 1: Melee Attacks: Estel will primarily use quick punches and kicks. Her grapple attack is particularly dangerous, as she can throw you off the screen for significant damage. Dodge her attacks and counter with short, precise combos. Avoid getting too close for extended periods.
- Phase 2: Backup Called: Once her health is reduced by about a third, Estel will call in two Galsias and a Donnie. Prioritize taking out these smaller enemies first to avoid being overwhelmed. Use area-of-effect specials if you have them.
- Phase 3: Enhanced Attacks: In her final phase, Estel becomes more aggressive and her attacks deal more damage. She might also incorporate a charging attack. Continue to dodge and counter. If you managed to grab the Katana, now is the time to unleash its full potential.
- General Strategy: Keep moving and avoid getting cornered. Use throws to create space and deal damage. If you have a Star special available, save it for when Estel is surrounded by her backup or when you need to interrupt a dangerous attack.
