Big Boo
Big Boos are larger versions of regular Boos and serve as mini-bosses in Big Boo's Haunt. They appear after defeating all regular Boos in a specific area (e.g., main hall, Merry-Go-Round, balcony). To defeat a Big Boo, you need to hit it from behind (punch or kick) when it's visible. It takes three hits to vanquish a Big Boo. These imposing specters are a step up in challenge from their smaller counterparts, requiring a bit more strategic positioning and timing. When a Big Boo appears, it will often taunt Mario before initiating its attack patterns, which typically involve charging or attempting to corner him. The key to victory lies in outmaneuvering the Big Boo and landing those crucial hits on its vulnerable backside. Successfully defeating a Big Boo will often reward Mario with a Power Star, making them important targets for progression within the haunted levels. Mastering the art of hitting them from behind is essential for clearing these spooky challenges.
