Star 7: 100 Coin Star
This Power Star in Whomp's Fortress is awarded for collecting 100 coins within the course. There are numerous sources of coins to help you reach this goal. Coins can be obtained from defeating enemies, such as Goombas and Koopa Troopas, and from coin lines that appear throughout the level. Hidden blocks often contain coins as well. Don't forget the 8 Red Coins, which are worth 2 coins each, sificantly contributing to your total. Piranha Plants, when defeated, frequently drop coins. Furthermore, there are several blue coins scattered throughout the course, often accessible after activating the blue ! Block near the start of the level. These blue coins are worth a substantial amount, usually 5 or 10 coins each. To maximize your coin count, it is essential to explore all accessible paths, including the areas around the fortress walls and any platforms that might seem out of the way. Thorough exploration and efficient enemy defeat are key to achieving the 100-coin star in Whomp's Fortress.
