Star 6: Wall Kicks Will Work

This star is located in a hidden area within Whomp's Fortress. From the starting point of the course, cross the initial bridge that leads into the main area. Proceed towards the section of the course featuring a broken bridge. Instead of attempting to cross the broken bridge, turn your attention to the wall to your right. You will notice a small gap or opening in the wall. To reach the Power Star hidden within this shaft, Mario must perform a series of precise wall kicks. This maneuver involves jumping towards a wall and then pressing the jump button again just as Mario makes contact with the wall. This action propels him upwards. The shaft is narrow, requiring consecutive and well-timed wall kicks to ascend. At the very top of this vertical shaft, you will find the Power Star waiting. Mastering the wall kick is essential for accessing this star and many other secrets throughout the game. Practice this technique to ensure you can execute it reliably under pressure.
