This star requires you to reach the very top of the fortress, specifically the small tower that sits above the area where the Whomp King was defeated. After you have vanquished the Whomp King, or on a subsequent visit to Whomp's Fortress, you will need to ascend the structure once more. The path to the highest point involves navigating a series of rotating platforms and using wall jumps to gain verticality. Carefully time your jumps to land on the moving platforms and use the walls of the fortress to propel yourself upwards. The Power Star is located at the apex of this climb, within a small, enclosed tower. Precision and patience are key to successfully reaching this elevated position. Once you have reached the summit and entered the tower, the Power Star will be readily available for collection. This star emphasizes vertical traversal and the effective use of Mario's acrobatic abilities within a challenging environment.
