Recommended Character: Princess Peach or Luigi. This stage features large gaps and quicksand. Peach's float is excellent for safely crossing these chasms, while Luigi's high jump can also be very effective. You'll encounter Beezos, flying enemies that swoop down. They can be picked up and thrown if you time it right, but it's often safer to avoid them. There are also Ostros, large birds ridden by Shy Guys. Defeat the Shy Guy first, then you can pick up and throw the Ostro. Look for a Potion early on to access Sub-Space for a Mushroom. The stage involves a lot of horizontal progression over treacherous terrain. Be patient and time your jumps carefully to avoid falling into the quicksand.
