World 2, Desert Land, introduces new environmental challenges and enemies. The scorching sun, quicksand, and aggressive foes like the Angry Sun and Boomerang Bros. will test your platforming skills. This world also features the first Pyramid stage, a unique level type with its own secrets.
Be prepared for stages with limited visibility due to sandstorms and areas where you need to quickly navigate sinking platforms. A Fire Flower can be particularly useful here for dealing with some of the tougher enemies. Keep an eye out for hidden blocks and alternative paths, as Desert Land holds more than a few surprises.
