The fake Bowsers in Worlds 1-4 are relatively straightforward. They breathe fire and throw hammers (though not always in World 1-4). The key to defeating them is to either use Fire Mario's fireballs or to run past them and hit the axe at the end of the bridge. If you have Fire Mario, stand a safe distance away and repeatedly shoot fireballs until he is defeated. This is the safest method. If you are Super Mario or Small Mario, you must time your run carefully, jumping over his fire breath and hammers, to reach the axe. The bridge will then collapse, sending him into the lava. Remember, these are just Koopa Troopas in disguise!
