This is it – the final confrontation with the real King Bowser! World 8-4 is a notoriously difficult castle, and Bowser himself is the toughest boss. He breathes fire, throws hammers, and moves faster than his fake counterparts. The boss room also features a series of moving platforms and lava pits. There are two ways to defeat him: 1. Fire Mario: If you manage to reach him as Fire Mario, you'll need to hit him with 5 fireballs to defeat him. This is the safest but most challenging method, as maintaining Fire Mario through World 8-4 is very difficult. 2. The Axe: The more common method is to run past him and hit the axe. This requires incredibly precise timing and movement, dodging his fire and hammers while navigating the moving platforms. Wait for an opening, usually after he jumps, and make a mad dash for the axe. Once the bridge collapses, Princess Peach is finally rescued!
