World 2-1 features a mix of open areas and pipes. You'll encounter more Goombas and Koopa Troopas. Pay attention to the pipes; some contain Piranha Plants, while others can be entered. There's a hidden 1-Up Mushroom in a block above the second pipe you can enter (the one with the Piranha Plant). Jump on the block to the left of the pipe, then jump again to reveal the hidden block. Further along, you'll find a series of blocks that form a staircase. A hidden block containing a Starman can be found near the top of this staircase, allowing you to rush through a section of enemies. Use the Starman wisely to clear a path or gain extra points.
